A social portal by student www.unite4action.com is another initiative in direction of trend of technology being harnessed in the service of society. It was inaugurated on Aug 15th by director of IIM Indore immediately after flag hoisting ceremony.

It tries to bridge resource gap in social sector i.e. those professionals and students who feel like contributing to society, but don’t know from where to start. This endeavour seeks to bring such socially sensitive people and NGOs on one platform so that they can reach each other. It also ensures privacy for those who don’t want to disclose their personal details and one need not be a full time worker to get associated with it. One can contribute according to his own capacity, interest and limitation i.e. one can opt for any activity ranging from participating in forums to weekend consultancy to bearing water cannons, if one desires so.

Foreplay

Foreplay

A lot has been said and written about ‘Foreplay’ by many learned people, but I shall enlighten thee, by giving a new and revolutionary insight into what happened that fateful evening. A cloudy sky, with droplets of rain surrounding the ambience, green-green grass, a confluence of serenity and excitement factored into that evenings atmosphere. There were supposed to be two who broke all the boundaries to display it all in public. And how great were those two, how bold were they who threw all inhibitions to the winds and had the audience wanting for more.

Ok, before you start wondering what exactly this is all about, I’m talking about the event idAnIm recently conducted, 4-Play. For the uninitiated, 4-play is a spoof on well known fables where only 4 members are allowed at a time on stage.

Despite all the uncertainties and the rain, the so called ‘jinxed’ event which has been getting canceled every year finally saw the light of the day, or rather the twilight of a rainy evening.
